Inclusive education is an essential area of development in the modern educational system, ensuring equal opportunities for all learners.

As part of the pilot project "Enhancing Teachers’ Pedagogical Skills in Inclusive Education," a comprehensive training program was organized for the teaching staff of School-Gymnasium No. 96 in Astana.
Enhancing the level of teachers' pedagogical mastery in general education schools within the framework of inclusive education.
Key stages of project implementation included:

• Conducting focus group research to identify the main challenges teachers face in developing and implementing Individual Learning Plans (ILPs);

• Developing and conducting a specialized training program based on teachers' current needs;

• Organizing project-based work for teachers, aimed at developing and presenting practical solutions for the effective use of ILPs in the educational process;

• Providing post-training support, including expert assistance in integrating new knowledge and skills into professional practice.

The program covered three key areas:

1. Theoretical foundations of inclusive education – legal aspects, strategies for adapting the educational process, and the use of digital technologies to support inclusive learning.

2. Leadership and professional competencies development – skills in coordination and collaboration within the team, emotional intelligence, and digital tools in the educational environment.

3. ILP development methodology – modern approaches to adapting learning materials, assessment techniques, and monitoring the educational achievements of students with special educational needs.

The implementation of the project enabled teachers not only to deepen their theoretical knowledge but also to acquire practical tools for effectively managing the educational process in an inclusive environment.

Teachers’ engagement in the co-design of educational programs contributed to enhancing their professional competencies and adapting new methodologies to real school settings.

This project marked a significant step in the development of inclusive education and laid the foundation for the further advancement of professional development systems for educators in this field.
